Flight operations update for May 30, 2024

Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) has implemented the following revised flight times for its Thursday May 30, 2024 jet operations:

* Operated by World Atlantic Airways;  ** Will now be operated on Friday, May 31, 2024; all times are local and all other flights are operating on schedule

As previously announced, Cayman Airways has temporarily removed one of its jet aircraft from service to undergo unscheduled maintenance, leading to adjustments in some flight operations.  Simultaneously, another aircraft has been undergoing scheduled three-yearly heavy maintenance, resulting in two of the airline’s four B737-8 aircraft being temporarily out of service.  This has led to schedule changes for some flights and, in a small number of cases, the engagement of contracted airline service providers.

The aircraft in heavy maintenance is scheduled to return to service late Thursday, May 30, 2024. This will enable CAL to resume its regular schedule and, as a result, the current irregular operations, including the need for any contracted airline services, is expected to diminish starting Friday, May 31, as the airline returns to normal operations.
